Andrew Bard Epstein

I'm a political strategist, communications director and digital producer who works with candidates and campaigns that challenge ruling class power and win for the working class.

I was communications director, chiefs spokesperson and later creative director for Zohran Mamdani's campaign for New York City Mayor. I previously served as Chief of Staff to NYS Assemblywoman Emily Gallagher and managed her first campaign for office, defeating at 48-year incumbent. Most recently, I led communications for Claire Valdez's winning primary campaign for Congress in NY-7. According to City & State, I'm one of the 100 most influential people in New York politics.

I've worked in newsrooms, bars, and used to give walking tours of New York City. A graduate of SUNY-Binghamton, I also hold advanced degrees in History from Yale and the University of Georgia. I taught at both institutions, and at Yale, I organized with UNITE HERE Local 33.
